Fall Fashion Trends for 2025

If you've been on TikTok recently, fall videos are starting to roll out. Pumpkin spice, ugg boots, cozy knits are about to take over once again…and I’m not mad about it. Fall is that time when you can feel the excitement of the year. The weather starts cooling down, you know you’re about to have back, to back, to back months of holidays. It’s fun and full of joy.

Before we fully get back into fall mode let’s go over 4 fall trends for this season.

First up, everyone’s been talking about 2009 fall making a comeback in 2025. If you’re like me there are definitely some fashion choices that I have blocked out of my memory from 2009 fall. However, this trend does make sense because everyone has been on a nostalgia kick this year.

2009 fall inspo:

Skinny jeans (we are not fully converting back to these, but they do look cute with tall boots)

  • Bootcut jeans
  • Flannels
  • Tall Uggs
  • Henley tops
  • Oversized shoulder bags

Might as well get some corded headphones and an ipod while I’m at it to complete the look.

Next, bold jewelry is back this season. I’m sure you’re starting to see it a little bit with the chunky star necklaces, bold seashells. I’ve also seen layered necklaces that remind me of the 2010 era. While I am a dainty jewelry girl, I think the bold looks are fun for a change.

Girls are having fun with boho fashion again. Bring on all of the fringe, tassels, and oversized outfits. I feel like oversized outfits have been staying for the past few years and I’m not mad about it. It’s extremely comfy, and it’s perfect for cozying up while reading a book while it’s raining outside.

Lastly, this one should not be a surprise but chocolate brown everything! I love this color in jackets, outerwear, accessories, it adds a certain level of coziness to your outfit. I think specifically chocolate brown suede bags will be a must have accessory for this season.

Fall fashion for 2025 is embracing a balance between timeless elegance and modern comfort. This season, expect to see a revival of rich, earthy tones like rust, olive, oat, and espresso brown, paired with textured fabrics such as brushed cotton, boucle, and soft knits.

Statement outerwear will take center stage—think oversized trench coats, structured blazers, and cropped jackets with feminine tailoring. Layering is also making a strong comeback, with sweater vests, button-ups, and lightweight scarves becoming key players in transitional wardrobes. The emphasis is on creating warm, wearable looks that can easily shift from casual coffee runs to cozy evening gatherings.

Silhouettes are becoming more fluid and relaxed, but with thoughtful structure. Wide-leg trousers, midi skirts, and tailored sets are dominating both runways and street style. Elevated basics, like scalloped-edge knits and bow-detailed blouses, are perfect for adding a touch of charm without sacrificing practicality. Footwear trends lean into function-meets-style with lug-sole boots, ballet flats, and pointed-toe loafers gaining popularity.

Overall, Fall 2025 fashion is a celebration of layering, texture, and personal expression—with just the right amount of nostalgia.
